This painting is about a possible connection between inequality of incomes, the degree of repression by the regime, and the number of deaths as a result of political violence.

The research concerns various countries in different parts of the world in the period from 1958 until 1977.

The painting includes countries with a high number of casualties at the time: Argentina, Zimbabwe, Chile, Philippines, Sudan, South Africa, Pakistan, Hindustan. The English names have been abbreviated to four letters.
