The 'Bewegung 2. Juni' was one of the active urban guerilla groups during the seventies in Western Germany. The group was related to the West German 'Rote Armee Fraktion' (RAF), also known as 'Baader Meinhof Gruppe'.

In 1975 members of the 'Bewegung 2. Juni' kidnapped the West Berlin politician Peter Lorenz (1922-1987). They kept him prisoner at a secret place and demanded release of six imprisoned group members against freedom for Lorenz.

Upon acceptance of this demand by the West German government Lorenz was released.

The drawing is partly based on a picture taken of Lorenz during his captivity and on a text of Inge Viett, member of the 'Bewegung 2. Juni'.
